Position Summary

Walmart is expanding with its third company‑owned milk processing facility to serve over 750 stores across Texas and surrounding states. This state‑of‑the‑art facility will produce high‑quality milk products under Great Value and Member’s Mark, using milk sourced primarily from Texas dairy farmers.

What You’ll Do

Monitor dairy plant production processes, including milk receiving, separation, standardization, pasteurization, and batching, following Standard Operating Procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Ensure all paperwork is accurate, verify charts, track temperatures and product records, troubleshoot and resolve basic to moderate operating difficulties, and communicate any problems that may restrict production efficiency or food safety concerns to management.

Follow required safety practices, observing confined‑space safety guidelines and wearing all required personal protective equipment in designated areas. Monitor safe chemical handling and fall restraints, maintain sanitation of equipment (CIP), hand cleaning, and report safety concerns or issues to leadership.

Support continuous improvement by recording process and equipment performance data to improve quality and throughput, operating and cleaning equipment to maximize throughput and minimize downtime, communicating mechanical and operational issues, operating at recommended speeds, and monitoring fats, total solids, allergens, and cryoscopes associated with processing dairy products to ensure quality and efficiencies are met.

Complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources. Collaborate with managers, coworkers, customers, and other business partners to identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carry out tasks, communicate progress, and determine and recommend ways to address improvement opportunities and adapt to change, difficulty, and feedback.

Compensation

The hourly wage range for this position is $23.00 - $28.80. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the applicable minimum wage. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour depending on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if criteria are met.
