Position Summary
Walmart is expanding with its third company-owned milk processing facility to serve over 750 stores across Texas and surrounding states. This state-of-the-art facility will produce high-quality milk products under Great Value and Member’s Mark, using milk sourced primarily from Texas dairy farmers.
What You’ll DoResponsibilities include:
- Maintains highest standards of quality and food safety by monitoring testing, recording, and reacting on data pertaining to product production and process quality. This includes Critical Control Points, key performance indexes, and verification that raw materials and finished products comply with federal, state, and company specifications.
- Completes work assignments and priorities using policies, data, and resources, collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and other partners, and determining ways to address improvement opportunities.
- Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity, implementing action plans using the Open Door Policy.
- Maintains knowledge of laboratory functions (operations, calibration, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair) and cross‑trains within Food Safety/QA departments.
- Utilizes a continuous improvement mindset by assisting with statistical process control, root cause analyses, and projects that promote continuous improvement methodologies.
- Supports Food Safety, Sanitation, Quality Management Systems, and other quality initiatives.

- 2 years’ experience in clerical related responsibilities (e.g., filing, data entry) and computer applications (e.g., email, spreadsheets, Microsoft Office).
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Science, Agriculture, or related field.
- Fluid milk testing laboratory experience, including raw milk sample testing, bottled milk testing, pre‑operations inspections, and swabbing.
The hourly wage range for this position is $23.00 - $28.80. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances.
