• Required – High school diploma, or equivalent

• Required – Two (2) plus years of experience in janitorial or maintenance, and knowledge of chemicals and reactions, and safe and proper use of cleaning supplies and equipment
• Preferred – Three (3) plus years of related experience and/or training

• Meet all federal and state regulatory guidelines and standards that apply to this position.
• Maintain safe and sanitized conditions in the agency buildings and equipment that meet or exceed all licensing and policy requirements.
• Operate maintenance equipment and report any malfunctioning equipment immediately.
• Participate in scheduled meetings, team decisions, and operations.
• Implement Compass Connections safety protocol, including evacuating with children and other staff in case of an emergency.
• Work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed and as requested by the supervisor.
• Maintain confidentiality in all areas of the child and program operations.
• Maintain Compass Connections' professional and ethical standards of conduct outlined in Compass Connections' employee handbook, including demonstrating respect for agency staff, children, and community members, and complying with the required dress code at all times.

• Clean, sanitize, and maintain buildings and equipment in accordance with agency policies and procedures and applicable local, state, and federal rules and regulations.
• Report all unsafe conditions to supervisory staff and suggest possible solutions to hazards.
• Meet all pre-determined deadlines required by the program and federal partners.
• Frequently traverse from one area of the campus to another.
• Frequently move equipment weighing up to 100 pounds from one area of the campus to another.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Foster Care Programs – Support, encourage, and recruit foster parents.

• Pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens throughout employment.
• Provide proof of work eligibility status upon request.

Compass Connections is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to ensure the cleanliness, safety, and operational integrity of agency facilities. Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, current certifications in First Aid, CPR, and Emergency Behavior Intervention, and have at least two years of experience in janitorial or maintenance work, with strong knowledge of chemical safety and equipment use. Responsibilities include maintaining sanitized conditions, operating and reporting on maintenance equipment, supporting foster care programs, and adhering to all federal, state, and agency standards.
