Position Summary
The Outbound Waste Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and compliant disposal of hazardous waste. They are responsible for managing the entire outbound waste process, from record‑keeping and regulatory compliance to logistics and transportation. This position requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety.
Principal Responsibilities- Oversee the loading and shipping of hazardous waste, ensuring safe and efficient transportation.
- Manage inbound and outbound waste loads in collaboration with the Operations Supervisor.
- Direct technicians during loading procedures to ensure safety and that drums are DOT shippable for final disposal.
- Maintain meticulous records of all hazardous waste activities, including inventories, disposal manifests, and regulatory reports to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
- Submit all required waste stream profiles for approval by the relevant authorities, including third‑party disposal.
- Ensure the accuracy of received waste shipments and correct any discrepancies in paperwork.
- Be prepared to work in various weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), EQAI a plus.
- Demonstrates accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail.
- Must be able to prioritize, stay focused, and handle multiple, diverse responsibilities.
- Flexible, able to adapt to changing priorities.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Team player and strong customer orientation.
- Prior environmental/waste industry experience is preferred.
- 2 - 4 Years of overall relevant work experience.
