Position: Installation Electrician (Permanent)

Installation Electrician | £19.30/hr + Overtime & Van | UK Travel + US Trips | Heywood, Greater Manchester

Fed up of seeing the same walls every day? Want something a bit more hands-on, with work that takes you further afield?

If you’re an Installation Electrician with a knack for wiring up real-world solutions and you don’t mind packing a bag now and again, this could be a good move.

The job is mostly UK-based with projects across the country. You’ll also travel overseas, typically three or four times a year, for three to four weeks at a time. That’s paid, supported and planned well in advance. If international travel’s a no-go for you, fair enough, but this probably isn’t the role for you.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

* Installing and wiring control panels, LV power and lighting systems

* Testing, commissioning and collaborating with the controls team

* Working on-site across the UK and abroad, including CDM environments

* Keeping things safe and compliant (18th Edition and common sense required)

What’s in it for you:

* £19.30/hr (around £40 base), but with typical earnings of £50k–£60

Kk including overtime and allowances

* Weekday overtime: first 12 hours flat, then 1.3x

* Saturdays paid at 1.5x, Sundays at 2x

* Paid overnight stays, plus a company van

* 40 hours a week, with flexibility where needed

* Training, support and plenty of variety

You’ll need:

* Electrical installation experience, ideally in commercial or industrial settings

* 18th Edition, Level 3 in Electrical Engineering, ECS Gold Card

* Full UK driving licence (van provided)

* A good attitude on site and a willingness to travel

Extra bonus if you’ve got, IPAF or Comp Ex, but not essential.
