Are you an experienced HGV Technician / PSV Technician looking for a role where your technical expertise will be valued and recognised?
We are recruiting for a skilled technician to join a busy and well-established fleet engineering operation in Rochdale. Working on a modern fleet of passenger service vehicles, you will play a key role in maintaining vehicle reliability, supporting workshop performance and helping to uphold the highest standards of safety and compliance.
What You'll Be Doing as HGV Technician / PSV Technician
Carrying out routine servicing, inspections and repairs on PSV and HGV vehicles.
Diagnosing and rectifying mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic faults.
Completing MOT preparation work and ensuring vehicles remain compliant with all relevant regulations.
Supporting workshop efficiency by identifying and resolving complex technical issues.
Assisting colleagues with diagnostics and technical problem solving when required.
Maintaining accurate maintenance records and job documentation.
Promoting a positive safety culture and ensuring all work is completed in accordance with health and safety procedures.
Contributing towards the overall reliability, availability and performance of the fleet.
What we’re looking for from the HGV Technician / PSV Technician
NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
Previous experience working as an HGV Technician, PSV Technician, Bus Technician, Coach Technician or Commercial Vehicle Technician.
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding capabilities.
Good understanding of modern vehicle systems and repair techniques.
Knowledge of DVSA maintenance standards and compliance requirements.
A proactive approach and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Full UK Driving Licence.
