HGV Trailer Technician

Recruit4staff is representing a well established commercial vehicle maintenance business in their search for a HGV Trailer Technician to work in Heywood.

• Pay: £15.00 to £17.50 per hour (Overtime paid at x1.5)
• Hours of Work: 8.30am - 5pm Monday to Friday, earlier start times are possible by prior arrangement

As a HGV Trailer Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out servicing, inspections, and repairs on HGV trailers to DVSA standards. The HGV Trailer Technician will undertake diagnostics, safety checks, and mechanical stripping and replacement of parts. This HGV Trailer Technician role requires attention to detail to ensure all trailers are roadworthy and compliant. You will work as part of a team while also being able to carry out tasks independently, maintaining high standards expected of a professional HGV Trailer Technician.

• Previous experience in vehicle mechanics or vehicle stripping
• Ability to carry out servicing, repairs, and diagnostics
• Strong understanding of safety checks and DVSA standards

• Level 2 or Level 3 Motor Vehicle qualification preferred but essential
• Full UK driving licence preferred

• Overtime available paid at time and a half
• Free parking on site
