Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mechanic to join a busy and professional fleet workshop in Rochdale.
Working within a fast-paced environment, you will be responsible for carrying out servicing, maintenance and general mechanical repairs across a varied range of vehicles. The role offers a good mix of work, with a strong focus on keeping vehicles maintained, safe and on the road.
This role would suit an experienced Mechanic or Vehicle Technician with a strong background in servicing and general repairs, who enjoys a varied workload and takes pride in completing work to a high standard.
The Main Purpose of the Role
* Carry out servicing and general maintenance on a wide range of fleet vehicles.
* Complete fast-fit servicing and repairs as required.
* Prepare vehicles for MOT testing and carry out any necessary repair work.
* Diagnose and repair electrical faults using appropriate diagnostic equipment.
* Carry out brake repairs, clutch replacemesnts and maintenance.
* Complete general mechanical inspections and identify any additional work required.
* Work efficiently to minimise vehicle downtime and keep the fleet operating effectively.
* Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used.
* Work alongside the wider workshop team to ensure vehicles are completed within the required timescales.
You Will Have
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
* Previous experience working as a Mechanic or Vehicle Technician.
* Strong experience across servicing, maintenance and general mechanical repairs.
* Experience with brakes, clutches and MOT preparation.
* Good electrical diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
* Engine repair experience would be welcomed but is not essential.
* A reliable and professional approach to your work.
* Good attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.

* Monday to Friday working pattern (8:00am – 5:00pm), 1-hour lunch break.
