As a Resident Engineer, you will support construction oversight for a major Wastewater Treatment Plant among other projects. This role will serve as the on‑site technical representative, ensuring construction activities are completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with project plans, specifications, schedules and regulatory requirements. You will also:
- Serve as the primary on‑site representative for Fehr Graham during construction of water and wastewater treatment facilities
- Oversee daily construction activities to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, permits, and contract documents.
- Coordinate with contractors, inspectors, project managers, and municipal stakeholders.
- Review contractor submittals, RFIs, pay applications, change orders, and field documentation.
- Monitor construction schedules, quantities, and quality control procedures.
- Identify and resolve field issues in collaboration with the project team.
- Conduct and document progress meetings and site observations.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate project records, reports, and correspondence.
- Support project closeout activities, including punch lists and final documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in construction engineering, or construction oversight.
- Direct experience with wastewater treatment plant design or construction strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, contract administration, and municipal infrastructure standards.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work full‑time on‑site.
