Position: Industrial Engineering Intern - Summer 2027 - Campus Recruiting (Multiple Locations)

Industrial Engineer Intern & COOP

To gain real world experience by performing the duties of their full-time engineering counterparts, managing projects independently, offering sound technical and engineering advice for facilities performance

Will work in various departments and throughout the plant to:

  • Identify opportunities for improvements by performing ergonomic job surveys, analyzing operations, reviewing job loads, and making recommendations
  • Identify improvements to work methods by reviewing the methods and analyzing potential method/design changes
  • Analyze operations and create AutoCAD layouts
  • Evaluate downtimes and methods to increase efficiency
  • Evaluate, recommend and install new equipment and layouts

Must graduate in August 2027, December 2027, or May 2028 and major in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Technology, Engineering Technology or a related field with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA preferred

Demonstrated leadership, persuasive, initiative, analytical, and communication skills are necessary for success in this position

Possess a strong work ethic and an entrepreneurial spirit

This position will require access to and/or the utilization of a personal motor vehicle to get to and from the workplace

Our summer internship program runs 10-12 weeks and starts in late May and ends in early August

Co-ops may be available depending on our business needs. The co-op program duration is typically 6-8 months and can run from early January through early August OR late May through early December

This is a temporary, full-time, hourly position. Interns can expect to work approximately 40 hours per week and may be eligible for overtime based on business needs

Location is based out of our Flagship Plant in Austin, MN, or in one of our other production facilities including Faribault, MN Osceola, IA Rochelle IL Dubuque IA McCook IL Barron WI Suffolk VA

Competitive hourly pay of $27.50 paid on a weekly basis

Housing assistance through either a housing stipend or company-provided housing, depending on location
