AboutThe Role
As a Customer Service Representative at Wheatland Tube, a division of Zekelman Industries, you will play a key role in delivering outstanding service to our customers and sales agents by managing orders, ensuring accurate data entry, and coordinating with internal teams to support on‑time delivery and satisfaction. This position requires strong organizational skills, a high level of accuracy, and excellent communication abilities.
It offers the opportunity to directly contribute to customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
You will collaborate with customer service team members, production staff, shipping and traffic departments, and external agents, ensuring that order processing and communication are timely and efficient. This is a full‑time, onsite role located in either Garden Grove, CA or Rochelle, IL
.

What You’ll Do- Reviews customer purchase orders and order data – ensures accuracy of dates, billing, and scheduling
- Processes sales orders via AGENT PORTAL and SAP – enters and maintains customer and agent information
- Prepares and finalizes plant shipping documentation – coordinates BOLs, carrier info, and daily shipment posting
- Acts as the primary contact for house accounts – manages order entry, pricing, changes, and confirmations
- Supports 34 sales agents – provides training and order support to meet on‑time shipping metrics
- Expedites delivery and communicates updates – ensures alignment with customer expectations
- Monitors and facilitates backorder fulfillment – coordinates optimal sourcing with internal teams
- Interacts with multiple departments – communicates order status, shipment dates, and customer needs
- Prepares shipping labels and documents – ensures accurate outbound documentation
- Processes claims, RGAs, invoice adjustments, and credits – ensures resolution and proper documentation
- 3+ years of customer service or inside sales experience, preferably in a manufacturing or electrical environment
- Associate’s degree or equivalent professional experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Experience using SAP is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Detail‑oriented with sound judgment and time management skills
- Capable of working independently in a fast‑paced setting
- Reliable and committed to regular, full‑time onsite attendance

Salary Range – $50K – $70K
