Position Description
Ryder is hiring a Material Handler in Rochelle, Illinois — offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a career you can feel good about.
Pay- $20.50 per hour
- $0.75 per hour for nights worked
- Second Shift, Monday to Friday from 5:30 pm to 4:00 am with one day off during the week and weekends off unless mandated.

Requirements- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- At least one year of warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience (preferred)
- Valid forklift operator’s license
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Team‑player orientation and ability to work in a diverse environment
- Highly thorough, dependable, and punctual with a good attendance record
- High initiative and accuracy, even under pressure
- Ability to lift or push/pull up to 35 lb
- Capacity to stand for long periods
- Adherence to health and safety procedures
- Flexibility to work various shifts
- Detail oriented with excellent follow‑up practices
Some positions require employment and education verification, motor vehicle records checks, a road test, and background checks as required by the customer.
Responsibilities- Load, pick, pack, ship, and receive goods, including forklift operation
- Perform cycle counting and other inventory control tasks
- Follow performance measurement guidelines of the contract
- Ensure accurate picking, packing, staging, and loading for trucks
- Handle day‑to‑day paperwork such as picking sheets, returns, and bills of lading
- Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hours
- Perform additional duties as assigned
