Manager – Costing & Analysis
Our client is seeking a manufacturing finance leader to own standard costing, inventory valuation, operational analytics, and procurement finance support across our North American manufacturing network.
This role is highly visible within operations and will partner closely with plant leadership, engineering, supply chain, procurement, and corporate finance to improve cost accuracy, productivity reporting, and decision support.
Key Responsibilities- Lead standard cost processes across North American manufacturing operations.
- Maintain cost accuracy within the ERP system, including BOMs, routings, labor, and overhead structures.
- Manage annual cost rolls and analyze manufacturing, inventory, labor, overhead, and purchase price variances.
- Ensure accurate inventory valuation and compliance with company accounting policies.
- Develop reporting and analytics that improve operational visibility and manufacturing productivity.
- Partner with procurement to analyze purchasing performance and drive cost savings initiatives.
- Support pricing, transfer pricing, budgeting, forecasting, and product profitability analysis.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for costing, inventory transactions, and manufacturing finance processes.
- Support manufacturing footprint optimization, continuous improvement, and strategic operations initiatives.
- Assist with internal and external audits as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 5+ years of manufacturing cost accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of standard costing, inventory accounting, variance analysis, and GAAP.
- Experience supporting manufacturing operations in an industrial, automotive, or process manufacturing environment.
- ERP experience (Oracle preferred).
- Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both finance and operations leaders.
- Base salary: $120,000–$140,000
