POSITION SUMMARY:

The Transfer Credit Specialist serves as a pivotal link in facilitating seamless credit evaluation and transfer processes for students transferring between institutions or academic programs at Rochester Christian University. This role involves comprehensive assessment of transcripts, articulation agreements, and collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure accurate credit recognition and a smooth transition for students. This person also serves as our academic Accommodations Officer, Testing Center Coordinator, and Rize administrator.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

REQUIRED:

• A minimum of an Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university; a baccalaureate degree preferred
• Preferred experience working in higher education settings
• Preferred experience in articulation agreements and transfer credit evaluation
• Preferred experience with TES/Transferology
• Preferred experience with accommodations
• An equivalent combination of related work and education experience

• Maintain the articulation repository and web page
• Maintain transfer equivalency database
• Mi Transfer Liaison
• Syllabi collection and review
• MACRAO Representative for the Michigan Transfer Network
• Manage the creation and maintenance of articulation agreements and transfer guides with partner schools
• Manage Rize Platform, including setup, registration, grades, attendance, etc.
• Stay informed of current state and federal regulations regarding student records.
• Utilizes RCU’s evaluation system and other resources to complete transfer evaluations for prospective and current students
• Responsible for providing exceptional customer service to support RCU’s incoming transfer student population, administrators, faculty, and staff.
• Maintains current knowledge of all academic changes to RCU degree programs.
• Process academic accommodations requests from students
• Send out regular communication regarding academic accommodations to students and faculty
• Schedule and proctor tests in the testing center for students with accommodations
• Other duties as assigned in accordance with departmental needs.

• Experience working with CAMS Enterprise or a similar student management system
• Highly dedicated to service excellence for students, faculty, and staff
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with University constituents.
• Exceptional problem-solving, administrative, analytical, interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite and Google Drive documents.
• The ability to prioritize work effectively and manage time efficiently.
• An understanding of institutional structure in an educational environment.
• Flexibility to learn new methodologies, technologies, and systems.
• Ability to network with members of Rochester Christian University and outside partners
• Ability to collaborate effectively with campus departments, faculty, parents, and students
