Qualifications- Patience and ability to effectively interact and maintain a professional rapport with others, including students, teachers, parents, and other staff members in the district.
- Experience working with students supported through special education programs preferred.
- Competency required to provide academic support with pre‑school level curriculum.
- Experience working with colleagues to organize, plan, and implement lessons, yet has flexibility to work independently and demonstrate use of good judgment.
- Possesses the necessary social and academic skills to promote cultural differences.
- Regular, reliable and punctual attendance required.
Salary: $17.48/hour (Instructional Classification Schedule per the Rochester Para educator Association Master Agreement)

Reports ToBuilding or Program Administrator (day‑to‑day direction from classroom teacher, basic or resource teacher, or Teacher Consultant).
CalendarFollows adjusted school calendar.
Job GoalTo provide support to the special education program by assisting students with special needs in compliance with program philosophy and goals for the individual student(s).
