Summary:
Part-time, temporary instructor position to teach on an ongoing, as-needed basis. We are seeking qualified professionals with current industry knowledge and/or teaching experience in one or more of the following areas of financial planning:
Risk Management and Insurance, Income Tax Planning, Retirement Planning, Estate Planning, and Investments.
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Develop and update course syllabi in consultation with the PACE Program Director, using the approved syllabus template and ensuring alignment with program competencies and learning objectives.
- Prepare and deliver online, evening course content in the assigned instructional format, including lectures, learning activities, and assessments.
- Communicate clear teaching objectives and learning outcomes to students, including detailed grading policies, expectations, and course requirements in alignment with CFP® Board standards.
- Evaluate student achievement of learning outcomes through assignments, examinations, and other assessments, and assign grades in accordance with program standards.
- Respond to student inquiries, including questions related to final grades, and consult with the Program Director as needed.
- Maintain current knowledge of professional practices, industry standards, and emerging trends in personal financial planning.
- Participate in required orientations, meetings and complete mandatory training programs by PACE established deadlines.
- Employ culturally competent and inclusive teaching strategies that support engagement, belonging, and success for both domestic and international students.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of five years of professional experience in the field of financial planning.
- Current knowledge and demonstrated proficiency in the relevant subject matter.
