Civil CAD Designer

Spalding DeDecker is seeking a CAD Designer to join our Land Development team and contribute to the design and documentation of civil land development projects. In this position, the CAD Designer will produce detailed civil site design plans and support project teams throughout all phases of design and construction. This position reports directly to the Project Engineer or Senior Designer.

Candidates should be energetic, self-directed professionals with experience in civil site design and a strong ability to solve engineering challenges in a collaborative environment. The ideal candidate demonstrates excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and a commitment to building relationships while delivering high-quality design and technical documentation for land development projects.

• Perform detailed calculations, quantity take-offs, and other design details on commercial, residential, and educational projects for independent clients as well as architects.
• Work in AutoCAD platform to produce the construction documents.
• Work independently as well as collaborate with a team on some projects.

• AutoCAD Proficiency (required)
• 5-10 years of related experience
• Strong organizational and follow-through skills, and attention to detail (required)
• Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) (preferred)
• Civil 3D experience (preferred)
• Associates degree or higher (preferred);
  High School Diploma or GED (required)

Job Type: Full-time, hybrid with three days per week required in the office after completion of probation period.
