Responsibilities- Design and develop custom electromechanical testing and process monitoring solutions for manufacturing environments.
- Apply sound engineering principles to create reliable, cost-effective systems that meet customer requirements.
- Work closely with customers to understand application requirements and translate them into engineered solutions.
- Prepare system layouts, design concepts, engineering documentation, and technical specifications.
- Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, software, manufacturing, and project engineering teams throughout the product development cycle.
- Support prototype development, product validation, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Provide technical support during customer demonstrations, installations, and product launches.
- Evaluate existing product designs and recommend improvements for performance, manufacturability, and reliability.
- Assist the sales organization by providing technical expertise during customer meetings and proposal development.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable engineering standards and customer specifications.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related engineering discipline is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of engineering experience involving product design, applications engineering, systems engineering, or custom automation equipment.
- Experience designing engineered products or systems for industrial or manufacturing applications.
- Ability to interpret customer requirements and develop practical engineering solutions.
- Experience working with cross-functional engineering teams.
- Proficiency with 3D CAD software and engineering documentation.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact directly with customers.
- Experience with manufacturing automation, industrial testing equipment, data acquisition systems, sensors, machine vision, or process monitoring technologies.
- Knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes and quality systems.
- Familiarity with PLC‑controlled equipment, instrumentation, or industrial controls.
- Experience supporting customer‑facing engineering or applications engineering activities.
