Controls Engineer

Overview:

The Controls Engineer will build, design, and troubleshoot electrical equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

Take customer supplied Robot logic, I/O database, etc. and creating robot control configuration and robot network architecture

Produce robot controls engineering designs and modifications by identifying project objectives and issues

Research and develop robot controls engineering techniques and approaches

Verify and validate designs as needed

Design graphical user interfaces

Configure and program software

Program control sequences

Provide system documentation as required

Customer training and support

Testing and debug

Any additional duties assigned by management

Qualifications &

Experience:

Any combination of education and/or experience providing the required skills and knowledge for successful job performance will be considered. Typical qualifications would be:

Bachelor's degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering or similar preferred5 years of experience of direct field experience or equivalent

Sound skills with technical, troubleshooting, and documentation

Ability to manage multiple priorities and advance multiple projects in parallel

Willing to train in the following disciplines are required:

- Robot:
Fanuc, ABB, Kawasaki, Motoman Robotics- PLC: RSLogics 5000, Siemens S7, TIA Portal and various platforms
- Vision Systems:
Keyence, Cognex, Teledyne Dalsa and various platforms
