Stamping Technician

Job Impulse, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Stamping Technician in Rochester Hills MI. Our client is a Tier One Automotive Supplier who makes small plastic connector parts
.

Responsibilities for an Stamping Technician include:

• Upon receipt of order, the technician discusses technical construction and deadlines with supervisors using technical data and drawings as supporting documents.
• Repairs tools based on defined specifications, constructions and modification if necessary.
• Control and testing of the constructed tools for dimensional accuracy and functionality.
• Order confirmation after disposal into production.
• Optimizes process flows (Analysis of tool standstills, laser welding, etc.)
• Performs maintenance work, eventually making proposals for optimization.
• Trains employees on stamping process.
• Development of spare part administration of stamping tools.
• Repair alternative modules for different contact varieties.
• Support the integration of additional stamping machines.
• Laser welding as needed.
• Follows Housekeeping Practices.
• Works Overtime when required, including weekends.
• Runs presses, reel changes, coil changes as required.

• Completed toolmaker apprenticeship of 3 years or equivalent
• 2+ years’ experience working in a toolmaker capacity
• Automotive Sector
  - Production Facilities - OEM’s
  - Tier 1 and 2
