Senior Construction Engineering Inspector - Direct Hire

Location: Rochester Hills, MI (Hybrid/Field-Based Opportunities Across Metro Detroit & West Michigan)

Pay: $25-$40+ per hour (based on experience) + Overtime & Bonus Potential

We are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Engineering Inspector to support transportation and infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, and underground utilities. This is a great opportunity for professionals with strong construction inspection, QA/QC, and field engineering experience looking for long-term career growth.

• Inspect roadway, bridge, and utility construction to ensure compliance with project plans and specifications
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, contract documents, and technical specifications
• Monitor contractor work and verify material quality, quantities, and testing requirements
• Prepare and review daily inspection reports using Field Book or similar tools
• Collaborate with project teams, engineers, and contractors to resolve issues
• Identify deficiencies and support corrective actions to maintain quality standards

• 5+ years of construction inspection experience (roadway and/or bridge projects)
• Knowledge of state and federal construction standards and QA/QC practices
• Strong skills in plan reading, documentation, and field reporting
• Proficiency with Bluebeam, Excel, Word, and inspection software
• Valid driver's license and ability to work in outdoor environments
• Relevant certifications (MDOT, SESC, ACI, HMA, etc.) preferred

• Hybrid schedule with significant field-based work
• Monday-Friday schedule with overtime opportunities
• Travel may be required based on project needs
