Business Development, B2B Sales, Sales Engineer, Technical Sales
Who We're Looking For
You are a hunter.
You thrive on autonomy.
You do not wait for the phone to ring, and you do not need permission to chase a deal worth chasing. You read a room, find the decision maker, and close. You have built a reputation on results, and you are done being capped by a comp plan that punishes you for winning too much. You want a ground floor seat at a company that is moving fast, not a cog in a machine that already decided your ceiling.
You Will Do
- You will own the full sales cycle, from first contact to signed deal.
- You will run discovery,
present engineered, data-backed solutions and sell on measured performance, not price
. - You will prospect and pursue new business across industrial, commercial, and institutional construction.
- You will build relationships with architects, general contractors, project managers, and facility decision makers.
- You lead discovery calls and site visits to understand what the facility actually needs, qualify, and present engineered solutions that solve the root problem, handle the objections, and close. Our engineering team builds the technical solution with you, but the relationship and the deal are yours to own.
- You sell a turnkey solution that takes coordination off the client's plate entirely - one point of accountability.
- You will represent Memtech at industry events, networking groups, and trade shows.
- You will bring back market insight that sharpens our positioning, pricing, and go to market strategy. And as we scale, you will help shape the sales function and the playbooks behind it.
This is not a hand holding environment. You work fast, stay organized, and follow through.
What You BringYou bring a proven track record in B2B sales or business development, with experience closing. Existing relationships in the construction field are a significant advantage. You communicate and negotiate well, you juggle multiple deals without dropping responsiveness, and you are comfortable in a CRM. Experience in consultative or technical sales, especially noise control, construction, or engineering, is an advantage. A bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
WhatMakes You Successful Here You bring relationships.
Existing connections with general contractors, architects, project managers, and facility decision makers in the construction world are a major advantage here. If you already have a network that trusts you, you will ramp faster and win sooner. If you do not, you had better be the kind of person who builds one quickly.
You can carry the technical conversation. This is technical sales. You do not need to be an engineer, but you do need to get fluent in how we solve complex noise and vibration problems, talk credibly about measured performance, and translate engineering into language a buyer understands. You know when to bring our engineering team in to close the technical detail.
You sell value, not price.Memtech is the engineered solution, not the cheapest box of materials. We sell a measured, engineered, guaranteed outcome, which is a different category entirely. The reps who thrive here are comfortable walking into a room where a competitor quoted lower, and winning anyway by showing the buyer why measured performance and a guarantee are worth more than a low number that doesn't meet expectations.
Youwin by teaching, not pitching.
The best reps here do not recite a product catalog. They walk into a building and show the buyer something they did not know about their own space, their own risk, or their own cost of doing nothing. You earn the deal by being the most credible person in the room about the problem, then showing the way out.
You run on activity and discipline.Outcomes follow effort here.
You have patience for the long game.Construction moves in cycles. Some deals close this month, others take a year from first bid to signed contract. The reps who win track the long ones patiently while closing the fast ones, and never confuse activity with progress.
You want to own it.The reps who love it here are the ones who see the opportunity, and who want to influence how this company grows.
