Installer, Trades ​/ Skilled Labor, Installation Technician

Company Description Kasl Enterprises is a small, locally focused business based in a suburb of Detroit, specializing in the supply and installation of trash and laundry chutes for new construction and renovation projects. As an authorized provider of Midland Chutes products, the company supports a variety of building types with reliable chute systems. Kasl Enterprises also supplies trash compactors and compaction containers to help customers manage waste efficiently.

The remainder of the business is dedicated to spare parts and service work for chutes, as well as providing chute systems that are installed directly by customers. Team members join a hands‑on, service‑oriented environment where quality installation and customer satisfaction are priorities.

Role Description The Installer role is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Rochester Hills, MI. This role involves installing trash and laundry chute systems, compactors, and related equipment in new and existing buildings according to plans, specifications, and safety standards. Day‑to‑day tasks include reading and interpreting blueprints, measuring and preparing installation areas, assembling chute sections and components, and securing equipment to building structures.

The Installer will use hand and power tools, coordinate with general contractors and other trades on‑site, and assist with troubleshooting and basic repairs during service calls. This position also includes loading and unloading materials, maintaining a clean and organized work area, following company safety procedures, and occasionally traveling to regional job sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and installation instructions.
• Proficiency with basic hand and power tools, and experience in general construction, carpentry, or mechanical installation.
• Strong attention to detail, measurement accuracy, and commitment to safe work practices.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with contractors, site supervisors, and team members.
• Physical capability to lift and move materials, work on ladders, and perform tasks in various construction environments.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites in and around Rochester Hills, MI.
• Prior experience in installation, building trades, or facilities maintenance is preferred but not required.
• Willingness to learn chute and compactor systems, follow company training, and adapt to changing project needs.
