Position InformationMinimum Qualifications
- High school graduation or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Five years progressively responsible administrative and/or operational experience.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to produce professional communications.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and manage competing priorities.
- Ability to effectively interact with the public, students, faculty, and staff.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive materials with discretion, tact, and professionalism.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and experience learning and using project management systems, databases, and related systems.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or IT field.
- Experience supporting senior leadership or executive-level roles.
- Experience in higher education, technical environments.
- Familiarity with HR processes such as leave reporting, onboarding, or personnel documentation.
- Experience interfacing with senior leaders, community members, and external partners.
- Demonstrated creativity, initiative, and process improvement skills.
Unless otherwise required by an applicable collective bargaining agreement, all minimum, additional and desired qualifications are preferred, but qualifications, degrees, and/or experience deemed comparable and/or equivalent by Oakland University in its sole and exclusive discretion may be considered.
Position PurposeProvide high-level administrative, operational, and project management support to the Chief Information Officer and the University Technology Services which has a campus wide impact. Utilizes professional judgment, discretion, planning, and coordination skills in carrying out responsibilities. This role supports the effective operations of University Technology Services by proactively managing schedules and deadlines, assisting with project management and workflow coordination, and contributing to creative and process-oriented initiatives.
The position regularly handles confidential and sensitive information and works collaboratively with senior leaders, community members, and external partners with a high degree of professionalism.
