Job Details

Location:

Rochester (project sites in this area). Permanent position. The Project Manager will plan, coordinate, and implement projects within the decided‑upon budget, timeline, and scope, and will monitor and present project updates to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Manage all phases of the construction process, ensuring completion on time, within budget, and adhering to high‑quality standards.

Develop and implement project strategies and plans, including defining goals, objectives, and timelines.

Coordinate and oversee the work of construction teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Manage relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members.

Prepare and present regular project updates and progress reports to stakeholders.

Identify and manage potential risks and devise contingency plans.

Coordinate and obtain necessary permits, licences, and other regulatory prerequisites.

Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements.

Ensure all project documentation is maintained accurately and is up to date.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum five years of project‑management experience in commercial construction.

Proven ability to lead a project from conception to completion.

Strong knowledge of construction processes, methods, materials, quality control, and safety.

Proficient in project‑management software, MS Office, and related communication tools.

Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to direct others and make quick decisions.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.

Knowledge of relevant rules, regulations, quality standards, and best practices in construction.

PMP or equivalent certification is an asset.

Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed.
