Paint Creek Center for the Arts (PCCA) is seeking a candidate for a full-time, salaried position as Art Education Coordinator. The primary role of this position is to support PCCA’s efforts in running and expanding our educational programs through classes, workshops, private lessons, parties and private events. This job description is not inclusive of all responsibilities that the selected candidate may be asked to perform.

Responsibilities- Facilitate all onsite workshops, offsite workshops, and events, including but not limited to booking instructors, ordering/acquiring materials, preparing room/event space, checking in students, etc.
- Outreach to new organizations to find new hosts and partnerships for offsite events as they align with our mission.
- Facilitate all private lessons including but not limited to booking instructors, communicating with students/instructors, adding to private lesson schedule, and keeping updated schedule by front desk for reference.
- Facilitate group parties and event bookings, including but not limited to booking instructors, communicating with group leader/instructors, adding to front desk calendar, preparing the room(s), supervising the facility during the event.
- Attend PCCA committee meetings and/or provide updates for such meetings as instructed by Executive Director.
- General support for the Art Education.
- Other duties as assigned, including general administrative support.
- Assist with Art & Apples Festival® tasks including but not limited to:
- Food Vendors and Performers including but not limited to creating posting, promoting applications, reviewing and selecting vendors & performers, communicating with vendors/performers, upholding PCCA rules, policies and procedures.
- Coordinate the acquisition of supplies in a timely manner
- Assessing and managing risks
- Managing these activities within the budget and guidelines presented by the Executive Director
- Bachelors degree in a relevant field of study (Business;
Communication; Education; Liberal Arts; Parks, Recreation & Leisure; Visual & Performing Arts; similar fields) or relevant work experience - Experience with large public festivals
- Work experience preferred; volunteerism acceptable depending on other qualifications
- Ability to substitute teach art classes preferred, but not required
- Ability to work independently to complete tasks correctly and in a timely manner
- Strict attention to detail
- Ability to meet deadlines
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn other software platforms including but not limited to:
- Active Net
- Square
- Trello
Paint Creek Center for the Arts’ hours of operation are listed below. Employees typically work 9:00am – 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. Due to class and art gallery hours, employees should expect to work at least one late night per week (7:00pm), one Saturday per month (9:45am – 4:00pm) and one Sunday per month (9:45am – 3:00pm). Weekends and late nights will be flexed with other days so that employees work no more than 40 hours per week.
Additional hours will be required during and leading up to special events and programs, such as Art & Apples Festival® and the Holiday Silent Auction.

Friday:
Closed
Saturday: 10:00am to 4:00pm
Sunday: 10:00am to 3:00pm
Pay and BenefitsThis position pays between $38,000 and $43,000, depending on the candidate’s qualifications and experience. After 90 days of employment, employees receive 10 paid time off (PTO) days per year. All full-time employees receive 17 holidays per year, including the closing of the office for the final two weeks of the calendar year. After 90 days of employment, PCCA will contribute $150 per month towards an employer provided healthcare plan.
PCCA employees are allowed to take 2 complimentary studio art classes each year.
