Minimum Qualifications

* 16 years or older

* Strong interest in community engagement and connection to Pontiac

* Knowledge and experience using social media or other means for communicating/promoting a message

* Responsible, dependable, and able to work independently and as part of a team

* Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills

* Good command of Google Suite

* Open to learning new technology

Desired Qualifications Position Purpose

The Department of Human Development and Child Studies (HDCS), housed in the School of Education and Human Services, in partnership with the Pontiac School District (PSD) invite applications to Student Communication Summer Internship position to work on a project to co-create a high quality infant-toddler childcare and community resource center at Pontiac High School, called Baby PEACE.

Job Duties

* Help with creating communication/promotion plan for Baby PEACE

* Support Baby PEACE Advisory Board with getting the words out about Baby PEACE through initiatives such as organizing town halls, newsletters, video recordings/photos, and social media postings

* Any additional communications/marketing tasks as needed/assigned.
