Lead Recess Supervisor

Purpose

Holy Family Regional School is committed to providing a safe and orderly environment for students during non‑instructional time periods on the playground during the lunch hour.

This is a part‑time position of 10 hours per week between 11:45 am and 1:45 pm Monday – Friday while the school is in session; paid on an hourly basis.

• Lead the team supervising students from Grades Y5 through Three at the North Campus.
• Ensure that the school's health and safety rules are followed.
• Interact with students, encourage appropriate play, and manage student behavior.
• Work with teachers and administration when appropriate.
• Be physically able to work outside throughout the year.
• Have knowledge of student behavior and characteristics and use acceptable methods to redirect and control students.
• Exhibit a nurturing yet firm demeanor and commit to ensuring student safety.
• Maintain strong organizational skills, often juggling multiple duties and organizing volunteers during recess.
• Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and principals.
• Previous experience working with students and knowledge of first aid are assets.
