Position InformationMinimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- A minimum two years experience recruiting students for educational opportunities.
- Experience working with international students.
- Ability to travel extensively (in and out of state) throughout the academic year.
- Valid driver’s license and a driving record acceptable to the university by the university’s insurance carrier.
- Ability to work extended hours.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others.
- Knowledge of higher education, typically acquired through the completion of a Master’s degree in higher education administration or a related field, or the equivalent combination of education and experience is necessary.
- Knowledge of at least one foreign language and international travel is desirable.
Unless otherwise required by an applicable collective bargaining agreement, all minimum, additional and desired qualifications are preferred, but qualifications, degrees, and/or experience deemed comparable and/or equivalent by Oakland University in its sole and exclusive discretion may be considered.
Position Details Position PurposeProvide support and assistance to the Associate Director of Undergraduate Admissions, on all matters related to recruiting, admitting, and enrolling undergraduate international students. Collaborate with selected community colleges to maintain partnerships with Oakland University for the purpose of increasing international enrollment from the identified community colleges. Assist with the coordination and management of the international admissions process. Participate in the recruitment and evaluation of all prospective undergraduate students, while focusing on international students.
