Minimum Qualifications- Earned PhD in Early Childhood Education
- Attendance at the Essentials Instructional Practices in Early Literacy Training of Trainers (TOT) in Birth to 3 and/or Prekindergarten
- Knowledge and/or experience conducting interviews and focus groups
- Strong background in qualitative research
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Good command of Google Suite
- Open to learning new technology and research approaches
Prior experience with program evaluation
Position PurposeThe Department of Human Development and Child Studies (HDCS), housed in the School of Education and Human Services, invites applications to a part-time Research Associate position to work on a newly funded research and evaluation project on Early Literacy coaching.
Job DutiesResponsibilities include literature review, document review, instrument design; develop interview/focus group protocols and conduct interviews/focus groups; managing/arranging data collection, including supervising focus group interviewers; survey data collection, entry, cleaning, and processing; coding and data analysis; help with report writing; and additional tasks as assigned.
