• Valid Michigan Teaching Certification in area of responsibility.
• Current, valid Michigan Teacher Certification with special education in early childhood (ZS/ZA endorsement). Ability to work well with students, staff, and parents in a collaborative fashion.
• Other acceptable alternative qualifications as determined by the Board.

Full-time Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) classroom teacher (Rule 340.1755) within Rochester Community Schools Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) classrooms. This teacher position is part of a team of teachers and providers who coordinate educational services for students eligible for special education through implementation of the High Scope Curriculum and in accordance with the GSRP guidelines.

• Teaching whole group or small group lessons, teaming with staff, monitoring and implementing IEP goals within daily routines in the classroom setting.
• Team collaboration and consultation with GSRP teacher, associate teacher, and special education ancillary staff.
• Supporting assessment and evaluation findings through data collection and tracking.
• Coordinating or providing modification and accommodation of curricular material as needed.
• Completing data collection activities, training, and reporting as directed through the Oakland Schools and the Michigan Department of Education.
