Job Description SummaryThe Department of Biological Sciences invites candidates for a full‑time teaching‑track faculty position in Ecology, Evolution, and Environmental Biology. The Special Instructor will teach three classes per semester (Fall and Winter) and participate in service and program development activities. Courses may include introductory biology, evolution, ecology, evolutionary ecology, invertebrate zoology, botany, and other courses within the EEEB curriculum.
Minimum Qualifications- Ph.D. in Ecology, Evolution, Environmental Biology, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience teaching lecture and laboratory/field courses in the field.
- Evidence of inclusive and evidence‑based teaching practices.
- Experience in course development and delivering courses at multiple levels and modalities (online and in‑person).
Full‑time, teaching‑track faculty position leading to job security with the equivalent of tenure. Appointment begins in August 2026.
