Position Purpose
The Department of Human Development and Child Studies (HDCS), housed in the School of Education and Human Services, invites applications for a part‑time Research Associate position to work on a newly funded research and evaluation project focused on Early Literacy coaching.
Job DutiesResponsibilities include literature review, document review, and instrument design; developing interview/focus group protocols and conducting interviews/focus groups; managing and arranging data collection, including supervising focus‑group interviewers; survey data collection, entry, cleaning, and processing; coding and data analysis; assisting with report writing; and other tasks as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications- Earned PhD in Early Childhood Education
- Attendance at the Essentials Instructional Practices in Early Literacy Training of Trainers (TOT) in Birth to 3 and/or Prekindergarten
- Knowledge and/or experience conducting interviews and focus groups
- Strong background in qualitative research
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Good command of Google Suite
- Open to learning new technology and research approaches
Prior experience with program evaluation.
Work ScheduleCasual (19hrs or less, No Benefits).
