Minimum Qualifications- Foundational experience in developing self-paced online modules or courses.
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (such as Moodle) and interactive content creation tools (such as H5P).
- Ability to evaluate digital materials for accessibility and apply digital accessibility standards.
- Strong written communication skills with the demonstrated ability to synthesize information into structured documents, guides, and templates.
- Ability to collaborate professionally with faculty and subject matter experts to gather and refine information.
Prior experience interning or working within a university teaching and learning center.
Experience editing videos (using software such as Camtasia). Experience properly and transparently utilizing generative AI tools to brainstorm and draft professional resources.
Position PurposeThe Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning ( CETL ) is seeking a motivated and innovative individual to assist our team in building engaging, self-paced online learning opportunities for educational development programs. The ideal candidate is a recent graduate with foundational experience in instructional design who will help develop online modules, create organizational templates, and support digital accessibility efforts. This position is essential in contributing to the center’s mission of fostering inclusive and effective teaching practices.
Job Duties- Develop self-paced online modules for university professors using Learning Management Systems (eSpace, Moodle).
- Design and integrate interactive online learning components utilizing H5P. Adapt live workshop presentations, recordings, and materials for an online audience.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to guide academic content and teaching frameworks.
- Create course build processes, starter documents, and templates to assist future course development and future interns.
- Apply digital accessibility standards to course content, websites, documents, and videos using tools like Panorama.
