Job Description
Overview:
The Controls Engineer will build, design, and troubleshoot electrical equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take customer supplied Robot logic, I/O database, etc. and creating robot control configuration and robot network architecture
- Produce robot controls engineering designs and modifications by identifying project objectives and issues
- Research and develop robot controls engineering techniques and approaches
- Verify and validate designs as needed
- Design graphical user interfaces
- Configure and program software
- Program control sequences
- Provide system documentation as required
- Customer training and support
- Testing and debug
- Any additional duties assigned by management
Qualifications &
Experience:
Any combination of education and/or experience providing the required skills and knowledge for successful job performance will be considered. Typical qualifications would be:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering or similar preferred
- 5 years of experience of direct field experience or equivalent
- Sound skills with technical, troubleshooting, and documentation
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and advance multiple projects in parallel
- Willing to train in the following disciplines are required:
Fanuc, ABB, Kawasaki, Motoman Robotics
Keyence, Cognex, Teledyne Dalsa and various platforms
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None
