Title:
EOL Calibration Engineer
Locations:
Auburn Hills, MI
Duration: 6 Months
Pay Range: $34 - $37/Hour on W2 (All inclusive)
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled EOL Calibration Engineer with expertise in Powertrain engine controls to design, develop, and validate End-of-Line (EOL) calibration solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with engine control systems, data acquisition, and diagnostic validation, contributing to the development of robust and optimized calibration strategies for internal combustion engines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement EOL calibration for assigned powertrain modules.
- Perform EOL testing on vehicles and fine-tune calibration parameters to ensure optimal performance and compliance.
- Assist in the development and execution of EOL test scripts.
- Utilize OEM-specific diagnostic tool chains to validate OBD functionality and compliance.
- Develop prototype models to address and resolve EOL validation issues as part of root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve calibration strategies, vehicle performance, and emissions compliance.
Technical / Functional Skills:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the development and calibration of powertrain engine control features.
- Strong knowledge of internal combustion engines and engine technologies.
- Experience in data acquisition, processing, and analysis.
- Proficiency with MATLAB / Simulink, INCA, and advanced engine simulation tools.
- Hands-on experience with CANalyzer, UDS diagnostic protocol, CAN/LIN communication protocols, and OEM diagnostic tools.
- Knowledge of emissions development, engine analysis, and competitive powertrain products.
- Expertise in calibration processes, including Design of Experiments (DoE) and advanced optimization techniques.
- Outstanding problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in OBD validation and root cause analysis.
- Familiarity with prototype model development to support EOL calibration.
