The Post Closing Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of all real estate transactions after closing. This position is responsible for reviewing closed files, preparing and submitting documents for recording, issuing title policies, and resolving post-closing issues in a timely and professional manner. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and committed to delivering a high level of service to both internal teams and external partners.

What You’ll Do:
  • Review lender’s instructions, executed closing documents, and funding requirements to organize files for disbursement
  • Prepare final policies
  • Disburse closed files, including returning loan packages to lenders, receipting incoming funds, transferring funds, re-balancing files, if necessary, scan and index files in the operating system, and processing documents for recording
  • Ensure all post-closing requirements and outstanding items are cleared promptly
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external parties related to the transaction to request information needed to resolve post-closing issues
What We’re Looking For:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple files simultaneously
  • Comfort working with deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Clear, confident communication skills – verbal and written
  • A collaborative, solution-oriented mindset
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and follow-through
  • Candidate will need to obtain Michigan Resident Producer License and become a Michigan Notary Public within 3 months of hire date
