Temp IT Financial​/Budget Analyst

Oakland University is hiring a Temp IT Financial/Budget Analyst. The role involves coordinating IT budget development, tracking expenditures, managing financial planning and reporting for University Technology Services, and collaborating across departments to ensure effective resource allocation and financial risk management.

• Coordinate budget development with CIO and IT leadership for University Technology Services (UTS).
• Track and monitor UTS expenditures, ensuring alignment with budgets and cost‑saving initiatives.
• Develop resource allocation plans and oversee cost management, funding proposals, grants, and financial reporting.
• Collaborate with IT procurement, project management, and coordinators to meet department needs.
• Conduct financial planning, forecasting, and monthly ledger balancing for UTS.
• Requires proficiency in spreadsheets (MS Excel, Google Sheets), data analysis tools, budgeting software, Microsoft and Google Workspace.
• Minimum qualifications:
  
  Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration or related field, and 2+ years of relevant financial experience.
• Desired qualifications:
  Master’s degree, accounting certifications, SQL or advanced budgeting software skills, experience with ERP systems like Banner, GAAP/Fund Based Accounting knowledge, and IT or contract management experience.
• Position is temporary from 07/01/2026 to 12/31/2026, 40 hours per week, hourly pay rate of $25.00 with no benefits.
• Works within the University Technology Services department and supports collaboration across campus departments.
