TECH ASSISTANT

Follows  School Calendar

$15.85 per hour

4 hrs/per day

0.5 FTE

(Final schedule will be established by the Technology Supervisor, based on district and/or building needs.)

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma and excellent command of the English Language
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Mechanical aptitude/basic knowledge of computer operation
• Experience using Microsoft software, e-mail, and accessing the Internet
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, and to accomplish tasks with frequent interruptions
• Valid Michigan Driver’s License and reliable transportation
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds and move equipment, ability to climb and work on ladders
• Regular, reliable and punctual attendance required
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable

JOB GOAL: Tosupport level 1technology for students and staff.

SALARY: $15.85 per hour

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITES:

• Assists in providing basic technical support.
• Performs 1 st level desktop, laptop, projectors, interactive white boards, peripheral devices, voice systems, and handheld computer hardware/software troubleshooting as directed.
• Performs technical equipment setup as necessary.
• Tracks and resolves technology tickets.
• Attends monthly technology meeting.
• Maintains building technology inventory.
• Assists the Building Technician with the installation/moves/changes of building Technology resources
• Performs other duties as assigned.
