Position InformationPosition Information
Minimum Qualifications
- Associates degree relevant to maintenance, electrical or building systems or a related area or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Current Michigan Master Electrician License.
- A minimum of six (6) years’ experience in facility maintenance plus two (2) years of supervisory/management experience.
- Computer literacy including email usage, MS Excel and Word and computerized maintenance management systems.
- Experience with plumbing piping and systems.
- Extensive experience in the supervision of bargaining unit employees.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others.
- Working knowledge of BMS, Controls, PLC’s Square
D. - Knowledge of medium voltage switch gear and radial distribution systems.
- A valid driver’s license and driving record acceptable to the University by the University’s insurance carrier.

Unless otherwise required by an applicable collective bargaining agreement, all minimum, additional and desired qualifications are preferred, but qualifications, degrees, and/or experience deemed comparable and/or equivalent by Oakland University in its sole and exclusive discretion may be considered.
Position Purpose
Plan, organize and supervise facility maintenance and services dealing with building electrical, plumbing, and elevator components and systems.
