Assistant Director of Annual Giving

Oakland University is hiring an Assistant Director of Annual Giving. This role involves implementing and coordinating various fundraising initiatives including faculty, staff, and retiree campaigns, direct mail campaigns, the Parent Program, and student giving activities, while managing a focused Leadership Annual Giving donor portfolio and handling specialized operational tasks such as memorial bench procurement and Giving Day support.

• Implement and coordinate the Oakland University Fund Drive, direct mail campaigns, Parent Program, and student initiatives like the Senior Class Gift and Student Philanthropy Committee.
• Manage a small Leadership Annual Giving donor portfolio.
• Handle specialized operational tasks such as memorial bench procurement and Giving Day support.
• Required skills include strong organization, goal setting, communication, and proficiency with industry-specific technology and marketing.
• Minimum qualifications:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business or related field, and at least two years experience in fundraising or philanthropy.
• Preferred qualifications:
  
  Master’s degree, three or more years in annual giving fundraising (preferably higher education), experience with data/project management, marketing plan production, volunteer/peer-to-peer fundraising, and direct mail.
• Salary: $70,000 annually.
• Position is full-time (40 hours per week) in the Administrative-Professional employee group (Band Q).
