Job Description SummaryHandles and inspects components and filled product in accordance with Current Good Manufacturing Practices, Operating Procedures and Safety Regulations Documents and communicates functions and duties necessary to complete the manufacture of products produced in the Sterile Filling Department.
Job DescriptionKey Accountabilities – key outcomes/deliverables, the major responsibilities, and % of time:
- Operational (90% Issues): Performs all tasks as outlined in Batch Cards, SOPs and Job Aids; effectively demonstrates the ability to perform on automated lines; inspects finished product as required; packs‑off product into trays and cases; requires lifting weights of up to 35 lbs.; operates equipment as defined within the labor grade; maintains a smooth flow of production and monitors equipment as assigned.
- Continuous Documentation (10%): Communicates to PMO or Supervisor in a timely manner any equipment or process deviations; documents in a timely manner all tasks requiring written records as specified in GMP regulations.
- Compliance: Performs all functions in accordance with cGMPs, Corporate regulations, SOPs, and all other relevant regulations and standards; effectively demonstrates and understands the SOPs and job aids pertinent to each task performed.
- Continuous Other: Performs other duties as assigned by supervision (continuous).
Education & Experience:
Minimal acceptable level of education, work experience and certifications required for the job. High school Diploma or GED from a recognized institution or organization. Successful completion of certified in‑house qualification programs. Knowledge proficiency in a body of information required for the job e.g., knowledge of FDA regulations, GMP/GLP/GCP, Lean Manufacturing, Six‑Sigma, etc.
Often referred to as “competencies”, leadership attributes, skills, abilities or behaviors that may be enterprise, functional or job specific e.g. coaching, negotiation, calibration, technical writing etc.
Physical RequirementsPhysical & mental requirements: lift 40 pounds; walk across plant/warehouse; business travel (% of time); driving as part of work responsibilities; reach with hands and arms and frequently require hands to finger, handle or feel; occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; specific vision abilities required include close vision; frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts; frequently exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals;
noise level moderate; work environment production/manufacturing environment.
