WHATYOU’LL DO
As our Moulder/Molder Operator, you will read and interpret work orders, set up tooling, and operate the moulder/molder to run material accurately to specification. You will check quality using precision measuring tools, grind custom knives, perform basic machine upkeep, and maintain a clean, safe work area while following all safety regulations and assisting with other equipment and tasks as needed.
THE NITTY GRITTY- Set up, operate, and monitor moulder/molder machinery to run material accurately to order specifications
- Read and interpret work orders, drawings, profiles, and measurements
- Perform tooling setup, including knife changes and adjustments to meet job requirements
- Measure and verify finished products using precision measuring tools to ensure quality standards are met
- Grind and maintain custom knives as needed for specific moulding profiles
- Inspect material before, during, and after production to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Perform routine equipment checks and basic machine upkeep to maintain safe operation
- Label, organize, and stage finished materials for downstream operations
- Operate additional woodworking equipment as needed, such as rip saws, jointers, planers, resaws, and sanders
- Follow all company policies, OSHA guidelines, and safety procedures
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation
- Communicate production issues, material needs, or equipment concerns to supervisor
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous experience operating a moulder/molder or similar industrial woodworking equipment
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and work orders
- Proficiency using precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers
- Working knowledge of tooling setup, knife grinding, and machine adjustments
- Strong mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills
- Ability to safely operate additional equipment such as rip saws, jointers, planers, resaws, and sanders
- Understanding of, and commitment to, OSHA, state, and federal safety regulations
- A strong steward of Mans culture and core values
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and accuracy
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team
- Clear communication skills to work with supervisors, coworkers, and production staff
- Dependable, punctual, and accountable for meeting production requirements
- Adaptable and willing to take on additional tasks as production needs change
- Demonstrates a positive attitude and respect for workplace safety and organization
This job operates in a warehouse setting with exposure to noise, dust, machinery, and equipment including but not limited to table saws and panel saws.
PHYSICAL DEMANDSThis position requires extended periods of standing and walking, frequent bending and reaching, repetitive use of hands and arms while operating machinery, and the ability to regularly life and move materials up to 50lbs.
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORKThis is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm with schedule flexibility.
