Development Associate - School of Health Sciences

Oakland University is hiring a Development Associate for the School of Health Sciences. This role involves supporting development office projects excluding major gift work, managing donor communications, assisting with fundraising events, handling gift processing, and preparing executive level communications and donor impact reports while reporting to the Director of Philanthropy.

• Manage donor stewardship outreach and communications for the School of Health Sciences.
• Support annual fund efforts and fundraising events, including sponsor fulfillment and donor engagement activities.
• Prepare executive level communication, custom acknowledgement letters, donor impact reports, and provide proposal writing support.
• Collaborate with the Director of Philanthropy, annual giving team, and faculty/staff on annual giving campaigns.
• Assist with Advisory Board engagement and development office process improvements.
• Provide administrative support to the Director of Philanthropy as needed.
• Use development and fundraising technology, including database and records management tools.
• Requires a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience plus 1-2 years in development, fundraising, or related fields.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Compensation is $25 per hour; the position is casual with up to 19 hours per week and occasional evening/weekend work.
