American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a MI RN license, 3 years of L&D experience, and Cerner proficiency.
Responsibilities- Work in the Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum, and Newborn (LDRPN) unit of a hospital
- Care for laboring, postpartum, and special care mothers and their newborns
- 36 hours per week with 12-hour night shifts from 7pm to 7:30am, three nights a week
- Must work every other weekend
- Uses Cerner EMR; 1 year of experience with Cerner required
- Travelers may be required to float to a nearby sister hospital
- Responsible for the coordination and delivery of compassionate patient care utilizing the nursing process
- Duties include performing, delegating, supervising, and documenting care and teaching for patients and families
- Online modules and hospital education must be completed with a passing score prior to start
- COVID vaccination is required
- No blocked scheduling allowed
- All required documentation must be submitted according to firm deadlines
- Requests for time off must be made prior to assignment start and will require discussion with management if made afterward
- Active Michigan RN license required
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Minimum 3 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required
- At least 1 year of experience using Cerner EMR
- Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS, AHA) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP, AHA)
- Ability to formulate nursing care plans and communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff
