Contract-to-Hire Role
Pay rate: approximately $25.00 per hour
2nd or 3rd Shift available - Training required on 1st shift
Position Summary Maintenance Technician:
To learn and assist in the maintenance and repair of all presses and equipment, while adhering to the Preventative Maintenance Program.
Roles and Responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician:
- Develop and perform daily, weekly, monthly, and annual preventative maintenance
- Fabrication and repair of equipment
- Troubleshoot, fix and/or recommend all repairs, upgrades, or improvements
- Order parts and call in any service technicians from outside companies as required
- Perform and document all daily, weekly, monthly, and annual preventative/curative maintenance performed by using the M4 system
- Help prevent unscheduled downtime
- Perform building maintenance
- Perform and adhere to lock-out procedures, along with any and all other safety rules and regulations
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Work with and train under the direction of the molding manager or designee
- Has authority to stop the process if nonconforming or suspect material is found
- Other related duties and/or projects as assigned
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of electrical troubleshooting experience
- Demonstrated ability to perform basic machine maintenance and building maintenance
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment
- Ability to drive and operate a forklift
- Ability to operate an overhead crane
- Good recordkeeping skills
- Basic computer skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Time management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
- Strong team player
- Ability to work closely with others in a collaborative team environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Teams, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Professional demeanor and ethical conduct, including handling confidential information appropriately
- Walk; sit; stand, climb, used hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with arms and hands; balance, stoop, twist, bend, talk, and hear; lift and/or move up to 55 pounds
- Vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
