Carver County is currently accepting applications for the position of Accounting Technician - PT 20hrs/Week.
Under minimal supervision from the Finance Manager, the Accounting Technician performs varied and complex accounting and administrative functions involving the preparation and maintenance of County financial records. Requires knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and a County-wide knowledge of financial activity, records, policies, procedures and regulations.
Responsibilities- Process daily receipts
- Perform credit card reconciliations
- Maintain payments against contracts
- Weekly claims processing
- Vendor maintenance
- Entry and reconciliation for budget amendments and journal entries
