Day Shift, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday – Friday - Salary Range
: $21.12 – $28.01 hourly; $44,098 – $58,484 annually
This position provides report processing, receptionist services, and general clerical assistance to the Minnesota State Patrol, its employees, and the general public.
Minimum Qualifications- Proficient in data entry to review source documents and update database information.
- Able to explain governing rules and regulations clearly and concisely.
- Skilled with standard computer software for word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
- Efficient typing/keyboarding capability on Microsoft Word or equivalent.
- Customer‑service experience handling complex problems and resolving complaints or disputes.
- Experience with Statewide Integrated Financial Tool System (SWIFT), Employee Self‑Service, CAD, and related data‑privacy policies.
- Strong database management, organization, and time‑management skills.
- Knowledge or experience with data‑practice guidelines.
- Experience using a multi‑line telephone system.
- Administrative support experience in law enforcement.
- Ability to work cooperatively with diverse communities, including underserved populations.
Occasional lifting of file boxes and light objects, with assistance for heavier items; some periods of standing or moving for extended times.
Additional RequirementsSuccessful completion of a background investigation, including:
- Criminal history check
- Reference check
- Credit check
- Fingerprints (MNJIS/CJIS)
- SEMA4 records for current and former state employees
