Role Description

The Digital Retail Customer Specialist is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Rochester, MN, focused on guiding customers through Volvo’s digital and in‑store retail experience. This role manages online inquiries, supports customers through digital retail tools, and ensures a seamless transition between virtual interactions and showroom visits.

Daily responsibilities include responding promptly to leads via email, phone, text, and chat; scheduling appointments; and providing clear information on vehicles, pricing, and financing options. The specialist collaborates with sales, finance, and service teams to coordinate test drives, vehicle delivery, and follow‑up communications. This role also helps maintain accurate customer records in CRM systems, supports online inventory presentation, and contributes feedback to improve the digital retail process.

Qualifications
  • Customer service and communication skills, including active listening, clear verbal and written communication, and a professional, empathetic approach with diverse customers.
  • Sales and digital retail capabilities such as experience with online customer journeys, lead management, consultative selling, and handling basic product and pricing questions.
  • Technology proficiency, including comfort with CRM systems, web‑based retail tools, email, chat platforms, and basic office software (e.g., spreadsheets, word processing).
  • Organizational and time management skills to handle multiple customer inquiries, prioritize tasks, and follow up consistently in a fast‑paced dealership environment.
  • Problem‑solving and conflict‑resolution abilities, with a focus on finding solutions, addressing concerns, and maintaining a positive customer experience.
  • Knowledge of or strong interest in the automotive industry, vehicle features, and financing concepts; prior dealership or retail experience is beneficial.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in business, marketing, communications, or a related field is preferred.
  • Ability to work on‑site full time in Rochester, MN, including evenings and weekends as needed, and to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional dealership teams.
