Knuts | Construction is seeking a Project Engineer to support multiple commercial construction projects in Rochester, Minnesota. This role assists project teams with project administration, procurement, documentation, scheduling, cost tracking, quality control, and project closeout activities. The Project Engineer plays an important role in keeping projects organized, supporting project managers and field teams, and ensuring successful project delivery from pre‑construction through completion.

Salary: $70,000 - $110,000 annually
- Coordinate procurement processes, including submittals, approvals, and distribution.
- Create and maintain project submittal registers.
- Participate in change order management and project documentation.
- Schedule and track project progress photography.
- Assist with cost control, payroll reporting, project reporting, and payment applications.
- Attend project meetings and prepare detailed meeting minutes.
- Support punch list completion and building commissioning activities.
- Assist with project closeout processes and documentation.
- Track project costs and identify potential budget issues.
- Assist with estimating, bidding, marketing, and business development efforts.
- Create site logistics plans and schedules for project pursuits.
- Maintain positive relationships with project teams, subcontractors, and clients.
- Support project safety, quality assurance, and quality control initiatives.
- Research and help resolve project‑related issues.
- Participate in professional development and networking opportunities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field; or equivalent construction‑related education and experience.
- 1–3 years of construction‑related experience required.
- 4 years of construction‑related experience preferred.
- Basic understanding of construction processes, drawings, specifications, scheduling, and estimating.
- Proficiency with computers and project management software.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to travel to project sites as needed.
